Summer Tours
The Hyatt for Haywood campaign hosted summer tours of Bethel, Clyde, Maggie Valley and Canton. The tours spotlighted small businesses in each community, along with “hidden gems” that make us smile.
We visited everything from a crematorium in Clyde to a Bethel agri-tourism business and a luxury RV park, complete with tiny homes for rent.
We had a guided tour through Maggie Valley’s Wheels Through Time Museum, a top tourist attraction in Haywood, learned how Harry’s Salsa went from a back porch operation to being carried by a major grocery chain and much, much more.
In Canton we about the exciting future of biochar, and arranged for the first-ever public tours of the now closed Canton paper mill.
At each stop, tour-goers were encouraged to explore local businesses and shop their heart out!
The tours were a practical way to promote the county’s rich business fabric and the unique attractions enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.
